Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS. From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information. | Hey!! Get off your phone. Don't text and drive! That text or call can wait!! Wise words from Mr. Van Houten! CACC Students-You must be on the bus no later than 8:15. The buses will start leaving much sooner in order to get you there on time. Breakfast is grab and go! The last bus will be leaving no later than 8:22. If you miss the bus, you will have to report to study hall. Spartans-Please join us this Saturday for the Southeast Sweetheart Dance from 7-9 pm. Tickets are $10 per person at the door. Come and enjoy a night filled with dancing and fun.
From the College Room… TODAY - Fire Fighters! Brad from the Explorers Post 300 will be in the Library from 11:00 - 12:00 to talk to you in more detail and help you sign up for the fire fighting Explorer programs. Let Jannazzo or Brad know that you are interested. After school TODAY - College 101 - All Students are welcome to learn more about college. The event will run from 2:15 - 3:30. Jannazzo will also be available to assist with scholarships. SENIORS - CFLL scholarships- or Community Foundation Scholarships are due March 1. |

ㅡ Awards/CelebrationsCoach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month! | The Southeast wrestling team competed at the sectional tournament in Granite City last weekend. Zach Fry qualified for the State tournament by placing 4th at 215 lbs and will be competing this weekend at the U of I assembly hall. Chris Hull is an alternate for State as well. |
