Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS. From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information. | Reminder students it’s 2nd quarter, and you know the policy about phones and earbuds. Please have them off and away. This includes the hallways!! Also, I know it is getting colder outside and everyone is wearing their jackets/coats to school. BUT remember, you can not wear those in class. So get your locker combination because you will be asked to put those away.Thanks |
ㅡ Clubs/Opportunities | Key Club will meet on Tuesday in room 110. We will learn about volunteer opportunities in our community in our meeting which is 3:25-3:45. In our volunteer activity at 3:45-4:45, we are going to start putting Christmas surprises together for the students at Matheny Withrow. See you then! Anyone interested in ESPORTS, please check the flyers around school for the winter tryouts! |
ㅡ Sports | It’s not too late to join the wrestling team! All athletes that are interested in joining the wrestling team should meet in the gym after school TODAY for practice. If you have any questions see Coach Gardner in room 124. There will be off season football lifting 3:30-5 starting Monday November 17th. All athletes go to the football building after school. All cross country runners need to wash their uniforms and sweats and turn them in to the athletics office. Please have them in a bag labeled with your name. Are you ready to kick-off the basketball season? Meet the new teams and enjoy some fun with the best alumni in the city at our annual Blue & Gold Game this Friday at 6 PM. Admission is $5.00. ㅡ Awards/CelebrationsCoach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month! |
