Friday September 26th, 2025 Topic/Air length | SE Spartan AnnouncementsGood Morning, Southeast students and staff. It's Friday, September 26th, 2025! I’m _____________. Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school-wide expectations, allow for learning throughout the building, and can think critically. And now for a moment of silence to start our day…Thank you. |
ㅡ General Inf0Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention. Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS. From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information. | Attention ladies and gentleman- please be mindful of how much perfume and spray you are putting on in the hallways and classrooms. When everyone does it, it is overwhelming and clogs the air for those who have trouble breathing. One spray goes a long way, you do not need 10!! And if you do, then do it before coming to school please. Attention students: District 186 is starting the search for a new superintendent, who will begin in July 2026. The Board of Education wants input from students, staff, parents, and the community on what qualities are most important in the district’s next leader. You can share your thoughts through an anonymous online survey, available on the District’s homepage now through Saturday, September 27, at 11:45 p.m. Attention all seniors!! Just a reminder that you have to get the meningitis A vaccine by October 1 to remain in school after that date. Please make an appointment to get that shot. Then let the nurse know you got it. Attention all 9th graders!! Just a reminder that you have to bring a current physical to the nurse by October 1 to remain in school after that date. Please make an appointment to get your physical and bring that physical to the nurse as soon as possible. Spartans!—Homecoming is TOMORROW from 7-9pm at Southeast High School. The theme is a golden masquerade—get your tickets. $10 in the commons and $15 at the door. Juniors and Seniors- There will be a College Fair held on October 8 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in the Orr Building. The college fair is only open to juniors and seniors and you must check in with Mrs. Metz or Ms. Lewis when you arrive. You will be dismissed from Southeast at noon/end of lunch B. After you attend the college fair, you do not need to return to school. If you want a permission slip, you must get one from the Guidance Office and have them returned to the Guidance Office by the end of the day on Monday, October 6th. You must be passing 5/7 classes in order to attend. |
ㅡ Clubs/Opportunities | Poetry Club will meet TODAY from 3:30-4pm. Please see Mrs. Collins or Mr. Gleeson with any questions! Show up and show out for our homecoming football game this Friday at 7pm here at Southeast! The theme is Rhyme without Reason. ㅡ Awards/CelebrationsCoach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month! | Now for the winners of the giftcard giveaway!!! |
ㅡ Pledge | Now if you would please Stand for the Pledge… I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America And to the Republic for which it stands One nation, under God Indivisible with liberty and justice for all |
