Attention students: District 186 is starting the search for a new superintendent, who will begin in July 2026. The Board of Education wants input from students, staff, parents, and the community on what qualities are most important in the district’s next leader. You can share your thoughts through an anonymous online survey, available on the District’s homepage now through Saturday, September 27, at 11:45 p.m. Spartans!—Homecoming is this Saturday from 7-9pm at Southeast High School. If you are bringing a date that does NOT attend Southeast, the date request form is due TODAY. Hopefully everyone is dressed up today to celebrate spirit week!! Today: Camo Day Tomorrow: 90s/Y2K Day Friday: Blue and Gold/Seniors Wear Togas The theme for Homecoming is a golden masquerade—tickets will be on sale this week. $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Attention all seniors!! Just a reminder that you have to get the meningitis A vaccine by October 1 to remain in school after that date. Please make an appointment to get that shot. Then let the nurse know you got it. Attention all 9th graders!! Just a reminder that you have to bring a current physical to the nurse by October 1 to remain in school after that date. Please make an appointment to get your physical and bring that physical to the nurse as soon as possible. |

Teen Court Jurors- reminder we have a mandatory meeting after school today. Meet in the library. Student Voice Members - please see Ms. Miller during your lunch shift by the pepsi machine in the cafeteria for a pass to our meeting. Our meeting will be during 6th hour in the library. Just a reminder -Blue Crew will be meeting TODAY after school in room 213. Poetry Club will meet this Friday from 3:30-4pm. Please see Mrs. Collins or Mr. Gleeson with any questions! Crew interviews for the Fall play are Thursday (the 25th) after school. Be there. Show up and show out for our homecoming football game this Friday at 7pm here at Southeast! The theme is Rhyme without Reason. Mesh together two words that rhyme for your own outfit, or rhyme with another person's outfit. Hope to see you all there! |

ㅡ Awards/CelebrationsCoach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month! |
