ㅡ General Inf0Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention. Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS. From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information. | Students!! I know that the weather is nice out, but please remember to stay in dress code. We still need to come to school with long enough shorts/skirts (mid thigh) and shirts that cover our chest and belly. You will be asked to change if you are not in dress code, and we have limited clothing options available in the student office. Also, reminder cell phones and ear buds are off and away during the school day. Please clean up after yourself during lunch in the cafeteria, commons, and on the courtyard. Please keep your lockers locked, and do not share with your friends. From the college room… Juniors and Seniors - Permission slips for the LLCC Career Expo on Sep 24th are available outside of the college room. Monmouth will be here Monday during lunch in the Commons. Attention Seniors, Jostens will be back to distribute orders on Wednesday (9/16) on both lunch shifts! Any questions stop by Guidance. |
ㅡ Clubs/Opportunities | Do you like trivia? Do you like hanging out with friends? Do you like snacks? If the answer is yes, then the Southeast Scholastic Bowl team is for you! The Southeast Scholastic Bowl team will have its first meeting after school on Thursday, Sept. 18th in Mr. Calderon's room, 219. Poetry Club will be meeting TODAY from 3:30-4:00 pm in room 109. Anyone is welcome to attend! Please see Mrs. Collins with any questions. Monday, September 14th there will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in Newspaper from 3:30-4pm in room 118. Any further questions, ask Ms. Jones. Blue Crew’s Next Meeting will be September 15 after school. Homecoming is right around the corner--Saturday, September 26. If you are bringing a date from another school, you MUST fill out a date request form. These are now available in the main office. Any questions, please see Mrs.Barcik in Room 103. |
ㅡ Sports | If you will be participating in a spring sport and would like to start conditioning, please meet at the track on Monday, September 14th at 3:45pm. ㅡ Awards/CelebrationsCoach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office.
